Rebecca Alvarez Discusses the Impact of Pipeline Angels

Caption: Rebecca Alvarez Story, Founder and CEO of Bloomi, discusses the value of receiving an early investment from members of Pipeline Angels.

FAQs

  • Who makes the investment decision?

    • The angels who are going through the training program. IFEL team members do not have any role in decision-making. IFEL administers the program but we do not make the investment decision or invest.

  • What is the potential investment amount I could receive?

    • The investment amount varies by class size, however, each member commits to invest a minimum of $5,000. Class sizes range from 5-10 members.

  • Can I receive additional investment from the Pipeline Angels community?

    • Yes! Companies selected for investment by the Cohort will also pitch to the 500+ member community who may choose to join the investment syndicate.
  • When can I expect to receive the funding if selected for investment?

    • Assuming all parties adhere to the cohort schedule discussed above, you could expect to receive the investment in late December 2025/early January.

  • Are sessions in-person or virtual?

    • All sessions, including the Pitch Summit, are held virtually.

  • What is the Pitch Summit Format?

    • 10-minute pitch followed by a 15-minute Q&A.

  • Which instruments might Pipeline Angels members use to invest in my company?

    • Typically, Angels-in-the-Making invest either via a SAFE or Convertible Debt instrument. You must provide this information in your dealroom so everyone is aligned on the vehicle and terms of your equity offer as soon as possible.

  • Do the Angels-in-the-Making invest via a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) or will they sign directly to my cap table?

    • They will sign directly on your cap table unless you mutually agree to the formation of an SPV. This will come at an additional cost to them or you. By applying to the Pitch Summit, you are indicating your willingness for them to invest by signing directly on your cap table.
